Investors have access to high yields through our relatively low-risk loan portfolio targeted towards special situation, real estate-backed lending.
Pontes Financial Group has been engaged in the real estate-backed lending business in Northern California since 1987. During that time, we have become one of California’s recognized leaders in mortgage lending by originating and servicing more than $250,000,000 of real estate-backed mortgage loans.
We use Mortgage Funds to form much of the capital needed to meet the demands of our mortgage lending activities. Since 1992, PFG and its affiliates have raised and invested more than $150 million with the following Mortgage Funds:
- PFG 92/93 High Yield Fund (Completed)
- PFG 93/94 First Mortgage Fund (Completed)
- Sterling Mortgage Fund (Completed)
- Yosemite Mortgage Fund (Completed)
- Yosemite Mortgage Fund II (Active)
Each of the four completed funds generated annual returns exceeding 10%. Our active fund, Yosemite Mortgage Fund II, has generated approximately 8% annualized in recent quarters. In short, we have a 15-year history of operating mortgage funds with excellent returns (and never a negative yield). With Yosemite Mortgage Fund II, our goal is to generate excellent yields by making sound mortgage investments and managing expenses so that more than 95% of gross income is passed through to investors.
